An Interview with Moira:

Why/how did you get started in erotic romance?
By accident. I signed up for an online course that I mistakenly believed was about
adding romance to your work. It turned out to be a course on writing erotica/erotic
romance. Needless to say, I was shocked and delighted when I checked out the
recommended reading. I’d never heard of erotic romance before, but I loved the
idea of incorporating the intensity of the sexual experience into a love story. I was
hooked and my mind was reeling with ideas for my own stories by the end of the first read.

Do you have a favorite genre to read or write?
I write contemporary erotic romance novellas in a wide range of tones, but I love to read thrillers and sexy romantic
suspense.
What are your long-term writing goals?
To write full time.

Tell us about your recent release and what you're working on next.
Forbidden, available through Cobblestone Press, is my most recent release. It's the story of two
lovers torn apart by the lies and deception of our heroine's family.
Here's a blurb:

Claire Normandy is on the run from her domineering father and a life that isn't living. She's
returned to Castle Cove, the one place she tasted freedom, knew love.

But Castle Cove isn't just the home of Claire's bittersweet past, it's the home of Cade Watts,
the only man to ever touch her heart and whose betrayal taught her the lessons of pain and loss.

And Cade has discovered her secret. Bribes won't buy his silence because Cade doesn't
want money ... he wants Claire.

Coming up next, FROSTBITE releases through Cobblestone Press in January 2008. This one was
so much fun to write; there's plenty of heat, tension, sharp tongued dialog and danger in the mix.
These are characters that I just couldn't ignore.
Here's a blurb:
Professionally minded Bethany Phillips already spends more time than she wants with coworker Ryan Chase. Finding
herself trapped and alone with him in an expansive mountain retreat during a blizzard, Bethany panics when she learns
that Ryan is ready to bring a little pleasure into the game.
Can Ryan break down "all business" Bethany's defenses before the blizzard stops, or will their passions blow over with
the storm?

Sex in the News:
Looking for a man? China has a surplus

MEN of marriageable age now outnumber women by 18 million in China and the sex ratio is set to become more skewed
because rural families prefer boys, it was reported overnight.
Sex-selective abortions, a direct result of the nation's one-child policy, have boosted the number of boys born in China
in recent years.
By 2020 there will be 30 million more men than women aged between 20 and 45 in China, the Xinhua news agency
said, quoting the head of the country's National Population and Family Planning Commission.
China's birth ratio averaged 119.58 boys to every 100 girls, while in rural areas the ratio was 122.85 males to 100
females, Zhang Wiqing said at a symposium on rural population.
By comparison, the world averages between 103 and 107 male births per 100 female births, the report said.
"Rural families still have a preference for boys as agricultural production currently relies mainly on labourers," it quoted
Mr Zhang as saying.
"China will continue to crack down on illegal prenatal sex selection and will try to help people discard traditional ideas of
a preference for boys."
Sociologists have long said China's skewed gender gap could eventually lead to social unrest as so many men would be
without wives.

Don't worry, it only seems kinky the first time. ~ Author Unknown

Happy Reading,
Elayne
The fates are on Lorie Walker's side when she pulls long-term duty with the hunk of Space
Station 5423, Dodd Henderson. Or maybe she's not so lucky. Their space capsule is
drifting in a black hole and the gauges are nonfunctional. The odds of survival are slim
whether they try to break free of the void or await help. Dare they take the time, perhaps
the only chance they'll ever have, to explore the suppressed passion between them? Or will
a diversion from their recovery efforts doom them?
